VOLUNTEER:
Volunteers can get involved on two levels:
- Organization and development and fundraising.
- Travel and leadership experiences to Zambia.
Organization and Development is our immediate need. As we continue to develop this project we need people with expertise in specialized areas,
including but not limited to:
- Marketing
- Web Design
- Accounting/bookkeeping
- Advocacy
- Grant writing
- Project development
(specialties such as: irrigation, water filtration, composting, recycling, agriculture, etc.)
Travel Leadership
opportunities will be available as the project continues to develop in Zambia.
As Sepo Farm continues to grow and develop, we will be sending teams of volunteers to the Farm to learn about the local culture and to aid in some small
construction and expansion projects. Our goal with these visits is to give participants as full a travel experience as possible. We will include such projects as
working with contractors, farming, living with the Kaoma locals, tending chickens, learning about local agriculture and business practices, visiting orphanages and schools, and getting experience with both the city and countryside lifestyles.
Our goal will be to collect a percentage of each visitor's program fee as a donation to growth efforts in the area. These funds will go towards building
clinics, schools, and additional construction projects, as well as developing more farm land to create more job opportunities for locals.
Depending on the success of our fundraising efforts the trip costs for team leaders have the potential to be covered by the organization, but these positions will also not be feasible until the project develops in Kaoma to the point that visitors can experience as much cultural immersion as possible.
If you are interested in Volunteering your time and skills to help create a better life for Zambians in need, please contact us by email and include a summary of skills that you feel you can contribute to our efforts.
